James Hansel Dykes
December 21, 1944 ~ August 26, 2022
A loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday August 26, 2022 at the age of 77. He is survived by his daughter Stacy Dykes Hull (Phillip), son Donald Dykes (Pam), grandson Christopher Hull (Casey), granddaughter Christin Hull Piper (Benjamin), grandsons Kevin Dykes and Justin Dykes and 4 precious great granddaughters that he loved more than life itself – Madalyn Piper, Ainsley Hull, Berkley Piper, and his best friend Aubree Hull. Also numerous nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by his wife Mildred Jessie Kennedy Dykes, a Son Darryl Glenn Dykes, parents Hance and Lela Mae Dykes, brother James Edward Dykes, sisters Dora Mae Hines, Ruby Causin, Betty Carter and Eloise Brister. Pallbearers will be Kevin Dykes, Jason McFarland, Kim Moore, Brenden Lofton, Jimmy Rabalais, and Wesley Kinnebrew. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donald Dykes, Phillip Hull, Christopher Hull, Benjamin Piper, and Gary Cowell. Our family would like to thank Hospice of Baton Rouge for taking such great care of our loved one. A special thank you to Casey Hull for the care and loved she showed to our dad, and grandfather and also Becky Moore for taking great care of her uncle. We could not have made it through these times without you. Services will be held at seale funeral Home in Denham Springs on Friday September 2, 2022 from 5 until 9 and Saturday September 3, 2022 from 9 until services at 11 . Services will be conducted by James Cowell. The burial will be at Woodlawn Baptist Church Cemetery.
