Sandra Ware Simoneaux

June 19, 1947 ~ August 27, 2022

John 14:27 “I am leaving you with a gift – peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give So don’t be troubled or afraid.”

Our beloved mother, Sandra Ware Simoneaux, known to friends and family as “Sandi”,  age 75 received her wings on August 27th at 10:37am at her home in Denham Springs from causes related to dementia. She was a native of Denham Springs and returned after living in Baton Rouge for many years. Her family was her heart. She enjoyed watching her grandsons play sports, shopping with her daughter, and loved to go eat Mexican food. Her laugh could light up a room. She was generous, big hearted, and never met a stranger.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Mary Angela, “Angie”, Simoneaux Mock (Brian) and her son Tony Simoneaux (Tracy), her grandchildren Megan Breaux, Ashton Mock Duet (Lee), Brandon Simoneaux, Nicholas “Nicky” Simoneaux (Chelsea), Peyton Mock “Tater”, and Cameron Mock, and her great- grandchildren Matthew Simoneaux, Presley Simoneaux, and Liam Duet.  Survived by her siblings Diane Ware LeMay (Jerry), Janice Cook Copeland, Helen Cook Guillory, Jackie Cook Parrish and Jimmie Cook Chandler (Robert).  Her many nieces and nephews will miss her warm presence.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ronnie Simoneaux, Sr, her son Ronnie Simoneaux Jr, her granddaughter Gracelynn Faith Mock, her mother Evelyn Bennett Cook Rogers, and siblings, Melvin Haley Jr, Hazel Haley Cotton, Hollis Bruce “Pat” Haley, and Anita Ware Rutland.

She loved listening to music, working crossword puzzles and carrying on conversations with everyone she met. A special thank you to Bridgeway Hospice for their devoted care.

Visitation at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs Thursday September 1 from 4 – 7pm with service at 7pm officiated by her nephew, Mike Cotton Sr. The family request that visitors wear her favorite color, purple, in her honor. Interment will be at a later date.
