Kelline Bosarge Smith

October 3, 1944 ~ August 30, 2022

Kelline Bosarge Smith of Greenwell Springs, Louisiana went to be with the Lord on August 30, 2022, being blessed with 77 years of a beautiful life. She was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi on October 3, 1944, but for most of her life she was a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and the surrounding areas. Kelline was fiercely devoted to her husband, Richard Witty Smith, of 59 ½ years. She was also a dedicated mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.

Kelline graduated from Redemptorist High School and found her true passion as a hair stylist, in addition to also finding success in the real estate industry. She officially retired from JCPenny’s as a hair stylist in 2002, where she was a very respected employee. She not only was respected in the workplace but was also highly regarded by family and friends for her witty sense of humor, her strong-willed mentality, and her free-spirited personality.

She was naturally gifted with an artistic ability in writing, poetry, and calligraphy; to the point where her poems have publicly been published. Kelline was also a wonderful cook/baker in the kitchen and found pure joy in hosting her family and friends. Her most cherished times with family were spent during Christmas time or in Roaring River State Park for vacation. The Christmas holiday was special to her because she was able to show her love language of gift-giving. Roaring River was nostalgic for her throughout her lifetime, having spent multiple vacations there with her family, embracing the quality time while fishing and camping. Kelline also had a very strong love for horses, spending many hours watching and encouraging her daughter and granddaughter at rodeos and barrel racing events.

Kelline was survived by her Husband, Richard, her Children, Richard (Christy) and Bridget (Hal), Grandchildren, Savannah (Tucker), Cheyenne (John), Montana (Noah), Alexis (Danny), Coleman (Darian), and Presley (Zach), her Great-Grandchildren Grayson and Isla, her Siblings Ann, Jackie, Jenny, Karla, and Joseph, in addition to her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Kell Bosarge and Mamie Lee Shaffer.
