September 25, 1971 ~ August 31, 2022

Daniel Joseph Pritchard, Jr. precious father, son, brother and friend was greeted by his Lord and Savior on August 31, 2022, at the age of 50. Despite any challenges Dan may have faced in this life, he never lost the twinkle in his eye that would light up any room.

Dan was born September 25, 1971, to Kathleen Dawkins and Daniel Joseph Pritchard. He grew up in Baton Rouge, graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic School, Natchitoches, LA in 1989, and from Louisiana State University in 1994 where he was a proud member of Theta Xi Fraternity.

Dan’s unsurpassed charm was magnetic, and he carried an unspoken warmth that was felt by all who knew him. Dan deeply loved the babies and children in his life, who would immediately reach for him when he walked in. They felt his love as well. Dan believed in hard work and carried a strong work ethic throughout his life. Aside from his love and loyalty for family and friends, he will be remembered as the biggest LSU fan this side of Heaven.

Dan is preceded in death by grandparents, Judge and Mrs. William “Mack” and Daisy Lea Dawkins, Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Florence Pritchard and Mr. and Mrs. Harold and Florence Morris.

Survivors include his parents, Kathleen Dawkins of Denham Springs, LA and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Joseph and Yvonne Pritchard, Sr. of Baton Rouge, LA; his son, Tobin Brooks Pritchard, Sr. and wife Anna Claire of Ruston, LA, and his grandsons Charles Thomas Pritchard and Tobin Brooks Pritchard, Jr.; son Collin McCleish Pritchard of Prairieville, LA; his sister, Alicia Pritchard Bennett of Denham Springs, LA and brother Michael Pritchard and wife Alanna of Prairieville, LA. Nieces and nephews, Ashlyn, Mason, Daisy, Snow, Island, Trooper and great niece and nephews, Valor, Daniel and Raelynn and many special friends and family.

Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, LA on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, beginning at 9:00am. Dr. Leo Miller will conduct funeral services at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.

Dan’s love, loyalty, great sense of humor and charm will always be remembered.

“May your playful soul shine on.”

It has been almost two years and I don’t think I will ever get over Dan’s passing. The list of things I miss about him is too long to list. I really just miss him being here. I love you friend.

I was very sorry to hear about Dan’s passing. Although, we haven’t spoken in several years Dan and I were great friends at LSU and the thought of him took me back to great times in my life and I know his. He was a great guy and friend and always had your back. He will be missed by the brothers of Theta Xi one and all. YITB.
