Barcie Dodd Flores

Barcie Lanola Flores, nee Dodd, 81, passed away peacefully at her home in Pride on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. She is survived by two sons; Sammy J. Flores and wife Nickole, Bennie D. Flores and wife Laura, one daughter, Sandra W. Woods; 7 grandchildren, Ben Selph, Justin Flores, Alexis Porter and husband Troy, Brandon Flores, Caleb Flores, David Flores, and Layla Flores and three great-grandchildren, Kai Selph, Anton Selph, and Elliana Selph. She is predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Sammy P. Flores; parents, Thomas Cecil Dodd and Helen; Gwendolyn I. Marcantel and Dorcinus Jeau; one son, Thomas R. Woods, and granddaughter, Stacey R. Woods.
Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs of Friday, September 30, 2022 from 1:30pm until funeral services at 3:30pm. Burial will follow in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.
Barcie grew up in rural Texas and was proud to remind folks that she was the first in her family to graduate high school. Growing up she enjoyed singing hymns with her sisters. She welcomed many children into her home throughout the years including her own and others that she cared for as her own. In addition to children Barcie loved caring for animals, of which she had a menagerie throughout the years.
