James “Jim” H. Hardin

James Hardin, Jr. – age 64, a resident of Springfield, LA., born in St. Joseph, MO. passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022 after numerous years of health issues. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Susan Hardin and his 4 sons; James Cranfield (Jimmy), Jason Hardin, Joshua Hardin and Justin Hardin, six grandchildren; Jacob Cranfield, Jenna Cranfield, Madison Hardin, Emmalyn Hardin, Jesse Hardin and Jameson Hardin. The oldest of 7 children, he is survived by 5 siblings; Karen McKinney, Lori Cooper, Lisa Downs, Kristen Hardin, and Michael Hardin. He was preceded in death by his mother Carol Hardin Ragland and his brother Terry Allen Hardin. The family would like to thank the staff of the following medical facilities for their tremendous heathcare over the last few months of his life: PAM (Post Accute Medical) Hospitals in Covington and Hammond, LA. Also, St. Joseph Hospice/The Charter House. We ask that rather than sending flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Louisiana. Visitation and Funeral services will be held at Faith Crossing UMC on October 15, 2022. Visitation from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. with Funeral Services to follow.
