2022ObituariesBeverly Jon Jones Bonneval

October 16, 2022by SealeUser10

Beverly Jon Jones Bonneval was a dearly loved mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world on October 14, at the age of 66, following a long illness. Jon was born August 29, 1956 to Jodie Lee Ott Jones and Amos Ponder Jones, both preceded her in death.

After Jon graduated from Central High School, she spent many years as “Mamma Jon”, taking care of her young children and beloved Aunt Vi. Later she worked for Louisiana Health Plan and then at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. She had a tender heart, a love of travel, nature, the outdoors, fishing, and African violets. Bayou Chaland and Blind River were dear to her. When illness forced her into a sedentary life, she enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren, playing with Jack and Jill, her dogs, and lighthearted sparring with her devoted neighbor.

Jon is survived by her son, Matthew Brandon Bonneval and his wife, Rachel, daughter, Jennifer Ann Bonneval LeBoeuf and her husband, Mitch LeBoeuf. Grandchildren: Matthew, Isabella, Nathaniel, Alexander, Annabeth, Cameron, and Emma. Sisters: Amis Lynne Jones, Carolyn Ann Sanchez and Rhonda Susan Harris, husband Dough, along with nephews Jason Sanchez and Josh Harris, as well as many friends.

A special thanks to Jon’s dear friend and neighbor, Ronnie Roussel for his compassionate support. Hospice provided loving attention and care through her long illness. A gift to hospice or your own favorite charity would be a kind remembrance.

If there is a fishing spot in heaven, she will be there.

Services are pending at this time through Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, LA. Please check back for updated information.

Thank you for your comments and memories of Jon. My baby sister, nine years younger than me, but so many shared travels and gardening. As Carolyn and I visted last Wednesday, she asked ‘were is Momma’? May the Lord God reunite them in Heaven.Lynne it will take a long time to process her delivery to heaven.

I’m so sorry for your loss. We worked together briefly at OLOL. Ms. Jon will be remembered. When I first met her, I couldn’t understand how someone so little could be so mighty. She was full of spunk and sass, and I loved that about her. She loved her children and grandchildren deeply. May her memory live on in our hearts and minds.
