Sharon Owens Dungan, 60, passed with peace and grace on November 16, 2022, with family at her side. Sharon was a remarkable person, passionate in her beliefs and firm in her convictions, exhibited by her ardent love of all things Louisiana, particularly her beloved New Orleans Saints, to the sweetness she exhibited with her dogs, and, more than anything else, her unwavering love and devotion to her family. We love you and will miss you, forever.
Sharon was born on March 21, 1962, in Baton Rouge and she resided in Louisiana for all her 60 years, seventeen of which she served the people of our great state through her work at the Louisiana Public Service Commission.
She was predeceased by her father, Charles Dungan, in 2010.
She is survived by her mother Brenda McGrew Dungan; sisters, Lynda “Susie” Bassett and her husband, Randy, and Brenda Suzanne Dungan; brothers, Jeffrey Dungan and his wife JoAnn, and Darryl Dungan; nieces, Kristen and her husband Chris, Angela and her husband Seth, and Amber and her husband Joe; nephews, Cebastian, Derek and Maison; grandnieces, Finley and Hadley; grandnephews, Parker, Hudson and Elijah; and her dogs, Lucy, Emma and Snoop.
Visitation will be held at Hebron Baptist Church, 24063 Louisiana Highway 16, Denham Springs, on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 2:00pm. Service will follow at 4:00pm, with Reverend Paul Henderson officiating. Please sign the online guestbook at www.sealefuneral.com
