Lois Blanchard Spillers

Lois Blanchard Spillers 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, December 8, 2022 at home in Denham Springs. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was born August 15, 1929, in Morganza, LA to the late Theard Blanchard and Agnes Comeaux Blanchard. She retired from the State of Louisiana after working over 30 years and then worked for Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for 17 years. She enjoyed being around family and friends and loved to have her children and grandchildren around. Her nieces Sandra Ducote and Marie Barber were very special to her where she enjoyed their casino trips together.

She is survived by her 2 sons and daughter in laws, “Jimmy” James E Spillers, Jr and Trilby Gautreau Spillers of Prairieville, LA. Michael Joseph Spillers and Kim Chauvin Spillers of Denham Springs, LA. 5 grandchildren: Lindsey Renee Spillers, Bailey Lynn Spillers, Riley Wayne Spillers, Kaitlyn Jackson Hall and spouse Michael Hall, and Jared “Keith” Wall, Jr. Great-Grandchildren: Briyden Michael Spillers, Paizlie Renee Graham, Tripp Ryan Graham, Elias Dalton Hall, and several nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by her spouse of 60 years James E Spillers, her parents Theard and Agnes Blanchard, siblings Alvin J Blanchard, Stella Mae Blanchard Fremin, Helen Blanchard Fremin and Houston Paul Blanchard.

Visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs on Tuesday, December 13 from 10:00 am until time of the funeral mass at 11:00 am; and burial to follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The Pallbearers who will serve are Bailey Spillers, Riley Spillers, Briyden Spillers, Eric Blanchard, Brent Blanchard and Robert M. Blanchard. Special thanks to the team at Hospice in his Care of Baton Rouge and caregivers Eldreama, Wendy and Trecia.
