Janice Henderson

November 13, 1933 ~ December 12, 2022

Janice Henderson passed away Monday, December 12, 2022 at the age of 89. Janice was born in Brusly, Louisiana, on November 13, 1933, and lived in Denham Springs for 87 years. She was a Livingston Parish school bus driver until retiring in 1999, and enjoyed traveling North America with her husband, Billy, and their RV club for many years. Janice loved her family and always had a warm smile, big hug, and a cup of coffee for anyone who visited. She was the kindest and gentlest of souls and will be missed immensely. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Stella Harris; infant sister, Virginia Gayle; brothers, Raymond and Larry Harris, and sister-in-law, Margaret Harris. She is survived by her husband of nearly 69 years, George W. Henderson (“Billy”); three children, Dianne and husband, Keith Pearson; David and wife, Diane Henderson; Denise and husband, Jeffrey Lowe; seven grandchildren, Jennifer and husband, Andrew Donlon; Heather and husband, Ryan Decker; Ryan and wife, Taylor Pearson; Danielle Henderson; Chet and wife, Leah Henderson; Christine and husband, Dustin DeKeno; and Tiffany Lowe; a brother, Cecil and wife, Margaret Ann Harris; a sister-in-law, Grace Harris; nine great-grandchildren and many other beloved family members. A funeral service in memory of Janice will be held at Hebron Baptist Church in Denham Springs on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 12:00. Visitation for friends of the family will be held before the service from 10:00am to 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriner’s Hospital or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
