Rodney Meyer Mathis

MARCH 7, 1966 – DECEMBER 17, 2022

Rodney Meyer Mathis 56, of Baton Rouge, LA passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022. Rodney was the son of James Sessions and Mary Beddingfield Mathis. He was a graduate of Robert Lee High School in Baton Rouge. He attended LSU and worked in the hospitality industry. He was a beloved brother, uncle, cousin. He had a passion for life, family, friends, music and sports. His favorite hobbies were cooking and fishing.

Rodney is survived by brother’s, James S. Mathis Jr., Jesse Wayne Mathis, and Charles Mark Mathis. Aunt Jerrie Beddingfield, former sister-in-law, Laura Mathis Harrell (Bobbie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by, his parents, uncles, aunts, and cousins.

A celebration of Rodney’s life will be determined at a later date.
