Henry Rudolph Craig, Sr.

Henry “Rudolph” Craig, age 78, a resident of Walker, LA peacefully entered the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 29, 2022. Rudolph was born on August 12, 1944 to Henry “Bea” and Louvinia Craig. Rudolph was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

He proudly served his country as a communication control operator in the Vietnam war as a part of the United States Army. Rudolph also dedicated 35 years of his life to the students and faculty of Walker High School. As a teacher and assistant principal, he treasured the relationships he formed with his friends, students, and fellow educators.

Visitation will be held at Walker High School in the Glenn Ellis gym on Burgess Ave. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. Visitation on Wednesday will resume at Lighthouse Pentecostal church from 9:00am to 11:00am. Rev. Jerry Arnold and Rev. Mike Craig will conduct the Celebration of Life Service at 11:00am. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Rudolph is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Dunn Craig, one daughter, Christy C. Dwyer and husband Donovan; two sons, Terry Craig; Shelby Craig and wife Tara; sisters, Maxcine Lancaster; Verna Lang and husband Lester; Linda Gallman and husband Johnny; brother, JL Craig and wife Judy; 9 grandchildren , 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Bea Craig and Louvinia G. Craig; son, Henry Rudolph Craig, Jr. Pallbearers will be Mason Dwyer, Jaden Dwyer, Skyler Dwyer, Donovan Dwyer, JL Craig, and Chris Craig. Honorary pallbearers will be John Dunn, Paul Dunn, Brice Craig, and Jimmy Craig.
