Richard D. Sutton

Richard passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023 in Baton Rouge at the age of 81. He was a lifelong resident of Denham Springs and was a retired paint contractor. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM until religious services at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Amite Baptist Church Cemetery. He is survived by his daughter, Laura Coleman (Keith); sister, Beverly Barnett; grandsons, Bryan Coleman (Meghan) and Brady Coleman; great-granddaughters, Kinsley and Kamryn Coleman. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gay Cooper Sutton; parents, Harry and Winnie Sutton; brothers, Percy, A.E., Milton and Lathan Sutton. Pallbearers will be Roger Sutton, Scott Sutton, Reed Barnett, Bryan Coleman, Brady Coleman and Ted Stephenson. Honorary pallbearers will be, Jessie Gill, Rusty Curtis and Roy Roe. He was a lifetime member of Amite Baptist Church. He was a 1959 graduate of Denham Springs High School. He was a well respected paint contractor for over 50 years and his passion was hunting and fishing. Please sign our online registry book.
