William “Billy” Dudley Burt, Jr.

Billy was 76 years old when he passed into the arms of Jesus to be free forever, no more pain, no sadness, sorrow or weeping anymore with Jesus. Billy went home Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Sterling Place in Baton Rouge, LA. Billy was born in Hartford, AL on June 20, 1946, he was 76 ½ years old. Born to William Dudley Burt, Sr. and Bernice Burt. Billy worked as a carpenter in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Shreveport, LA. He moved back home in 2007, and lived in Central. Billy had been in the Navy for over 3 years on an aircraft carrier. Billy felt like his greatest achievement was the 17 ½ years he was a member of A.A. He would have received his 18 year chip in June. Billy enjoyed the lake in the backyard and fishing and enjoyed walking in the yard. He is survived by sister, Diana Robichaux of Central; niece, Michelle McGhee, husband Ricky McGhee; great-niece, Ayrianna McGhee; great-nephew, Joshua McGhee form Wilksboro, NC; niece, Danielle Kilgore, husband Greg Kilgore; great-nephew, Micah Robichaux; great-niece, Micaiah Pearce, husband Skailor Pearce from Toutle, WA. Memorial service will be Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Grace Family Church, on Denham Road in Central, LA, at 10:30 a.m.
