David Troy Fusilier

December 22, 1982 – February 21, 2023

Timothy 4:7

  • “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

Mark 10:45

  • “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and give his life as a ransom for many.”

There are endless ways that Troy served and gave his heart to those who knew him, and even those who did not.

Throughout his short life here, he was a beloved son, brother, uncle, mentor, father figure, warrior, and best friend to all.

While in the Army and serving two tours in Iraq, Troy bravely put his life on the line for his loved ones, complete strangers, and our country. For this, he earned and was awarded many honorable achievements to include The Bronze Star Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal & Iraq Campaign Star.

Troy didn’t live the life he did on this earth for the recognition, nor any award.

He selflessly gave and he served with his all.

Proceeded in death by his beloved mother, Patricia Fusilier, baby brother Christopher Fusilier, and both maternal and paternal grandparents.

Being one of five children, he leaves behind his father, Ronald Fusilier Sr., Step-mother Rhonda, closest confidant and big sister Dawn Fusilier, brother Jamie Fusilier, sister Leslie Landry, sister Lacee Fusilier, nephew Cameron Lambert, niece Karsyn Landry, numerous aunts, family members, companion of six years Kelli Ingalls and her children Bryce and Bailey Ingalls, and an entire community of countless friends and colleagues in the real estate industry.

While we have an immensely large heartache and shadow with him gone, there will also now be a bright light of Troy that will shine down on all of us eternally.

Visitation for Troy will take place at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, LA on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and will resume Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 8:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM.  In lieu of flowers the family request, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
