My childhood is peppered with memories of Mr. Johnny and his antics. A favorite memory of him was when he and my dad spent all night rewiring Mr. Chris’s car so it would honk every time he pressed the brake. The poor man had to drive to an office building with everyone thinking he was honking at them. Mr. Johnny was absolutely unrepentant for the embarrassment he caused his friend, and actually quite proud of himself. I can still feel my stomach hurting from how hard I laughed as they retold that story. Mr. Johnny truly brought laughter and joy wherever he went. Thanks for all the smiles, Mr. Johnny. We love you. 💙

Rest in peace Papa Johnny. Best fishing buddy I could’ve ever asked for. Also the best jokester. Fly high with your big angel wings. You will forever be missed by all of us. Love you.

Although I didn’t know Johnny, I knew his lovely parents that would ask for prayer’s for him at worship. He had wonderful parents who loved him so much. I saw that he was a great fisherman. If he was anything like his dad he was a lot of fun to be around. My heart goes out to his family and friends who loved him. Praying for his family.

Johnny and I graduated from Shreve Christian in Shreveport. His heart was as BIG as he was. A gentle giant who would do without so you wouldn’t have to. Talked to him on his birthday and we reminisced for an hour or so. He is the kind of guy that will truly be missed. Rest in Peace my Friend.

There are no words to express how good this man was to me. He hired me many years ago and we watch all our kids grow up. Many of nights we solved all our problems over a few drinks. Gonna miss you buddy but you were a good man and raised 3 great kids!! Could go into all details but the kids remember them.

    Rest In Peace My Friend.
    Your not suffering anymore!!!!
