Constance Louise Ewbank

August 30, 1939 ~ March 6, 2023

Early in the morning on March 6, 2023, Miss Connie Ewbank went home to see the Lord.  She was 83 years old.

Constance Louise Frazier was born on August 30, 1939 in Union City, Indiana to Bob and Mary Frazier.  She grew up traveling between the Union City house and the lake cottage her father purchased the summer of her 13th birthday.  Sister to Barbara Frazier, Connie found the man she would marry through Barb’s new husband Bruce Whipple and married Edward Ewbank on August 22, 1959.

Together Connie & Ed had two children, Michael & MaryAnn, who joined older sisters Elizabeth & Christine, daughters to Ed’s deceased first wife & high school sweetheart, Anne DeCrow.  The family settled in Webster Groves, MO where Connie kept busy writing a children’s book, Insect Zoo, managing the office for a chiropractor and eventually opening her own store Quilt & Stitch and an online pattern design company Butterfly Stitches.

After Ed’s death in 1991, Connie moved to Denham Springs, LA in 2005 where she found new friends & family through Abundant Life church and her quilting guilds–Krewe of Quilters, GSQA and River City–where she taught classes and pursued her passion of quilting for children’s charities.

She is survived by her sister, all 4 children, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren but will be missed & remembered by many more.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 beginning at 10:00am. Funeral services to be held at 12:00pm at the Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs.

We wish to thank the wonderful community of Abundant Life Church, St Joseph’s Hospice, and her quilting friends, for their help & support.  Please consider donating any memorials to the charity closest to your heart.
