Mary Louise Genusa Guzzardo
Mary Louise Genusa Guzzardo born in Amite, Louisiana and a resident of Denham Springs, Louisiana peacefully entered the gates of heaven on March 6, 2023 at the age of 97. She had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother and St. Joseph, she was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for over 50 years and participated in many ministries including Eucharistic Minister, Lector, Bereavement and St. Joseph Altar and Manna Giver at St. Vincent de Paul shelter. She enjoyed the love of cooking for her family and friends, her Friday card games and her love of LSU sports. She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her. Mary is survived by her two daughters Mary Ann Easley(Jeff) and Roslyn Gouaux(Bernard), grandsons Sam Easley(Kim), Jay Easley(Melissa), Andrew Leto, special nephew Brad Bourgoyne(Molly), great- grandchildren Kaolin, Julianna and Isabella Easley, special great nephews Joseph and David Bourgoyne and special great niece Anna Bourgoyne, siblings Felice McLaughlin. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Sam of 67 years, her parents Rosie and Joe Genusa, brothers Frank and Salvador, sisters Anna Mae Bourgoyne and Rose Jones. Special thank you to Sommer with Audubon Hospice and caregivers Glenice, Paula, Karla Tara and Annette and for the loving care shown by Michael and Aglonie DiVincenti and Leah Calmes, Mary Miller and Meg Genusa. Services will take place Saturday March 11, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church from 8:00 AM- 11:00 AM with mass at 11:00 AM conducted by Father Frank Uter and burial to follow in Greenoaks. Pallbearers will be Sam Easley, Jay Easley, Andrew Leto, Brad Bourgoyne, Tommy Mannino, Michael DiVincenti and honorary pallbearer Jeremy Patt.
