Benjamins surviving family includes his wife, Jane Rice Alsip and four children Benjamin D. Latil, Kathryn A. Fleury and husband Torrey Fleury, Layne L. Alsip and husband Casey W. He ran his own appliance repair business and aspired to be a great musician, and to most of us he was. He was brilliant when it came to saying the right things at the right time, and always had a way of making you see a better way.  He was kind, caring, sensitive to others, wise, thoughtful, a teacher, a mentor, our family’s biggest supporter, a comedian most days, and never failed to let us know how much he loved us. He created a hard act to follow with all of his wonderful traits and wisdom. He may not have been perfect, but he was perfect for our “Alsip Clan.” He was a one-of-a-kind, unique soul that could never be replaced. He was the best husband, father, friend and Papi. All who knew him were blessed.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
