Dorthula “Tootsie” Wallace Hammill

September 3, 1934 – March 14, 2023

Dorthula “Tootsie” Wallace Hammill 88 of Livingston, LA passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, March 14. Surrounded by her loving family. Married to Augustus Hammill for over 60 years. Mrs. Dot belonged to The River Church in Tickfaw, LA where she was loved and brought joy to everyone she touched.

She is Preceded in death by her husband; Augustus Hammill, parents; Pink Hugh and Lillie Miller Wallace, three sisters; Willie Mae Wallace, Clara McManus, and Lilla Hall, and one brother; Fleet Hugh Wallace Sr. Survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

The Family sends our Love and Appreciation to these special caring people in Aunt Dot’s life.; Lynda and Sidney Stafford, and  Janice Sharkey.

She loved and was loved by her faithful companions and fur babies; Tuk, Laslia, Ladie, Sergent,, and Jodi Boy. Also loved by her many neighborhood fur babies who knew her as Granny; Baby Girl, Molly, Dotsie (named after Mrs.  Dot), and Copper.

Service for this lovely lady will be held at The River Church 11005 La-442 Tickfaw, LA. 70466. On Monday, March 20^th from 9:00AM to 12:00PM with services at 12:00PM.  The procession will be leaving the church at 1:00 for the Louisiana National Cemetery In Zachary, LA for a @!:00 PM internment service.
