John Marvin Ervin

December 7, 1967 – March 13, 2023

John passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 while on vacation in Linville, North Carolina at the age of 55. He was a Network Manager with AT&T. Visitation will be held at Judson Baptist Church in Walker on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 10:00 PM. and will resume Saturday March 18, 2023 from 2:00 PM until religious services at 4:00 PM conducted by Rev. Tom Higginbotham, Dr. David Lane, Rev. Mark Carroll and Rev. Merelin McCon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. He is survived by his loving wife, Julee Boyd Ervin; mother, Zemly Courtney Ervin; son, John Marvin Ervin, II (Ariel) ; step-daughters, Haleigh, Courtney and Kinsley Vidrine; step-son, Brady Vidrine; sisiters, Joy Willett (Jeff) and Frances Kimble (Frank); brothers, Kenneth J. Ervin (Regina) and Leon A. Ervin (Donna); grandchildren, Mason L. Ramirez, Kade M. Ervin and Brieze A. Ervin; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. preceded in death by his father, Joseph G. Ervin; brother, Little Joe Ervin; maternal grandparents, Redrick and Winnie Courtney; paternal grandparents, Gordon and Goldie Ervin. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Ervin, Leon Ervin, John Ervin, II, Brady Vidrine, Dane Ervin, Dylon Ervin, Frank Kimble and Noah Kimble. Honorary pallbearers will be, Jeff Willett, Rusty Sanchez, Stephen James, Stephen James, II, Kerney Arnold, Mark Carroll, Micah Boyd, Kade Ervin and Mason Ramirez. He was a member of Judson Baptist Church and attended Don Ave. Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, working on vehicles, skiing, and most of all he loved his family and helping people and giving people a hard time.
