Douglas Prewitt, 78, of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at his home. Douglas loved his wife and children and would proudly show pictures and tell you stories about each one if you had the time to listen. When it came to his great-grandson, Levi, it didn’t matter if you had the time to see pictures and listen, he was going to brag about his Papa’s Boy. Douglas was loved by everyone who met him. Douglas was the owner of A Sure Foundation Company (pier house leveling) for 35 years. He was a fair and honest businessman. His reputation by referrals reflected as such. Douglas will be missed by so many. Jeannie has been my best friend since we first met in 1992. Doug was like a second father to me immediately. We aren’t “like” family…we ARE family. It was my distinct honor to be able to utilize my years of experience in nursing to ease Doug’s discomfort, and facilitate his passing back into spirit. It is always most difficult to witness, but with deep love, it is the very least I could do for such a loving, kind, and wonderful man. I’ll be with Jeannie to help her find her way without you here in the flesh, Doug. I love you all more than words can adequately express.
