Lorraine Doucet Blades

Lorraine Doucet Blades, 86, of Denham Springs, LA, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023. She enjoyed baking, cooking and watching QVC. But her true joy was in spending time, when she was able, with her family. Lorraine was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Mitchell A. Blades, Gregory W. Blades, wife, Jo Ann (Deville), Harold R. Blades, Jr., and Cindy B. Cody, husband, Michael B. Cody; sister, Ramona Mayeaux and husband, Michael; grandchildren, Aaron Blades, Hunter Blades, wife, Kelsie (LeBlanc), Josh Fruge, wife Farheen Syeda, Katie Fruge, Krystal Blades, Heaven Leigh Blades, Kenneth Cody, wife, Madison (Dubois), Sara Cody Gooding,  husband, Cory Gooding, Rebecca Cody Lee, husband, Kyu II Lee; great-grandchildren, Kamden Blades, Nathan Fruge, Everett Fruge, Oliver Dealminana, Réme Claire Currera, Myerkal Blades, Tristin Cummings, Piper Witt, Luca Potter, Jayme Blades, Trinity Blades, Chevy Rose Blades, Maddox Blades, Lily Blades, Ella Kate Cody. She was preceded in death, by her husband, Harold R. Blades, Sr.; parents, Lucille M. Doucet and Edmond J. Doucet; sisters and brother-in-law, Florence and Raymond Bielkiewicz, and Peggy Andre’; niece, Donna DeMacarty; and great-grandson, Kohen Blades. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Tuesday, April 11, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. Visitation will resume at Pine Ridge Methodist Church, 3893 Hwy 440, Kentwood, LA 70444, Wednesday, April 12, from 8 a.m. until service at 11 a.m., officiated by Rev. Howard Turner. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers wil be Aaron Blades, Hunter Blades, Kenneth Cody, Cory Gooding, Kyu II Lee, and Trevor André. Honorary pallbearer will be, Lyle André.
