Bobby L. Morris

April 17, 1951 – April 12, 2023

Bobby Lane Morris, 71, of Denham Springs passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2023. He was married from 1978 – 1998 to Brenda L. Morris, who he loved and respected until his last day despite his belief she was responsible for the death of his favorite artist, Elvis. He was a draftsman by trade, loved math, the work, and his co-workers. However, his love for his daughters and grandchildren would always come first. He showed up. Anything from horribly acted elementary plays, school band concerts, sports and dance, or just an unexpected pick up from school with, more often than not, a trip to the Chinese Buffet. Bobby could talk to anyone, anytime, anywhere, about almost did. No excursion would be complete if he didn’t have at least two conversations with random strangers. His humor and ability to make up stories matched his intelligence. His use of quick wit, goofy jokes, and fantastical stories let him excel at his favorite hobby, embarrassing his daughters and grandchildren at any and every opportunity. He enjoyed telling stories to his grandkid’s friends and earned the affectionate nickname among them as the ‘Alien guy’. He is loved. He is missed.

Preceded in death by his parents Pat Morris and Ethel Martin Morris and brother Fred Morris. He is survived by his brother Tommy Morris, daughters Marlena Morris and Mandy Morris, and his four favorite humans on the planet, his grandchildren: Morgan Lovell, Jaylin Anderson, Jasmine Anderson, and JaNeá Hankins.

Visitation is Wednesday, April 19th from 6-8pm at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs.
