John A. Benton

John A. Benton, 72, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away May 5, 2023. John  liked the simple things in life, but most of all he loved the Lord. Jesus said, “you must love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his sisters Brenda Pennington(Milton) and Carol Bogan(Warren), nieces and nephews Jamie Faul, Danielle Nelson, Lacy Richard, Brock Bogan and Paige Swanquist. He is preceded in death by his parents Dorothy Cole Benton and Carroll R. Benton. Visitation will take place at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 9:00 AM until service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Capital Oaks Nursing Home for the kindness and compassion they showed John.
