Larry Don Adams

Larry Don Adams, 81 years old, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, passed away and went to be with the Lord in the heavenly realms on May 20th, 2023.

He was born December 3rd, 1941, in Dallas, Texas, to George and Lucille Adams. He grew up in Irving, Texas, with one sister Joann. He graduated from Irving High School in 1959, and he became a welder. He worked with Brown and Root contractors where he welded in various plants, He also worked at Standard Tool, a welding fabrication shop working on pressure vessels, and at Gulf State fabricators in Baton Rouge. He changed careers in 1984, and became a landscaping architect, which he was very passionate about. Larry loved the Lord; he loved his family and he loved his friends. He loved going to Church, studying the Bible, the great outdoors, catching fish and being on the water.

Larry was a husband, a father, a grandfather, and a great-grandfather. He was also a good friend to many. He was survived by his wife Mrs. Ann Adams of 41 years, sons Gary (Carole), Jason, Steven (Brandi); his grandkids Crystal (Brad), Drew, Chris, Julia, Mackenzie, Anderson; and his great-grandkids Caden, Colton, Peyton, and Kyler. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Lucille Adams, his sister Joann Parlington, and his son Terry Adams.

Visitation will be held at Live Oak Church in Watson, Louisiana, on Friday May 26th, 2023, from 10am to 11am with his Celebration of Life Service beginning at 11am, officiated by Pastor Stephen Hebert. Interment will follow in the Live Oak Church Cemetery. A reception is planned afterwards for his family and friends in the Family Life Center on the Church campus.

Pallbearers: Drew Adams, Caden Whetstine, Peyton Whetstine, Colton Adams, Brad Whetstine and John Artigue. Honorary Pallbearers: Chris Adams, Bobby Ourso.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice In His Care for their compassionate care and guidance through this difficult time, especially Stephen Hebert RN and Yukie Stokes LPN. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in Larry’s name to Live Oak Church’s special ministry: Quilting – “The Piecemakers”.
