Michelle Renee Miller, 53, of Walker, Louisiana died Friday June 16, 2023 at Our Lady of The Lake Hospital after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Renee was surrounded by her loved ones who will strive to continue to honor her legacy of kindness and compassion.
Renee was a beautiful woman but far too modest to recognize it. She was always fun and spontaneous and had the personality and charisma to make friends in any situation. Her generosity knew no bounds and she sought out little ways to help others without their ever knowing. Renee loved making candies and treats to hand out on holidays, special occasions and just because she thought it may make someone’s day a little better. Even at the height of her battle with cancer, she still made certain to bring gifts to give the nursing staff just to make their day a little brighter.
Renee cherished her church at Faith Family Church in Denham, Springs, Louisiana and her church family became “family” to her in every sense of the word.
Preceded in death by her father, Harold Wayne Dawson, Renee is survived by her loving husband, Bret; her step-son, Dalton Miller and his fiancé Claire Bigelow; her mother, Sandra Dyess; her brothers, Mylan (Tiffany Heady) Dawson and Lane (Jessica) Dyess; and nephew, Luke Dyess, who will miss his aunt “toot toot.”
Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 beginning at 10:00am. Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.

Renee was one of the most positive and compassionate individuals I have had the honor to know. I will miss her laugh and conversations we had over anything and everything. She was a very sweet person and will be missed tremendously.
