Rita Taylor Salter

December 23, 1960 – June 25, 2023

Rita Taylor Salter passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, June 25^th. She was preceded in death by her husband Weyman Salter, her sister Rhonda Taylor, and mother Barbara Lee.  She is survived by her father Jaime Taylor, three daughters; Nicole Broussard, Candice Dias, and Tabitha Taylor, five grandchildren; Alyssa, Bella, Donovan, Ana, and Preston, and one great-grandchild; Lazell and brother Keith Taylor.

Services will be held 9:00AM – 11:00AM Thursday June 29, 2023 at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, LA.

Rita will be remembered for her strength and courage.  Her happiest moments were spent fishing, riding horses, and hosting Sunday family dinners.  She loved taking care of her animals, listening to country music (especially Randy Travis), and watching Sam Elliott movies.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to express special thanks to Pinnacle Hospice and the staff at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice. The family also requests donations be made in Rita’s name to ASPCA in lieu of flowers.
