Michael James Langlois

A loving husband, father, grand-father, and great-grandfather. He loved to fish, dance, sing, play guitar, and “pass a good time” as he would always say. He enjoyed spending his time on False River or in the swamps of Lake Verret where he was raised and where he learned to fish. He was a native of Baton Rouge. He was a retired correctional officer from Dixon Correctional Institution. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and proudly served on the island of Okinawa, Japan. Visiting at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Friday, July 7 at 9 am-11 am, with memorial service to follow. Burial with military honors will be held at Louisiana National Cemetery at 2 pm. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Hughes and her husband, Mike; grandson and his wife, Michael and Mackenzie Yarbrough, and their son, Eli James; brothers Wilfred (Joe) Langlois Jr. and his wife, Cynthia; Andrew Blanchard and his wife, Hope; sister Bonnie and her husband, Jeff Fuller; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Virgie; his father, Wilfred Langlois; his mother, Gracie Albarado Blanchard; his step-father Albert Blanchard; and his nephew, Christopher Langlois.
