Meredith Stephens

Meredith Marie Stephens born May 7^th, 1934 and joined the Lord July 6^th, 2023.

Meredith is survived by husband Orville C. Stephens, niece Alice B. Smith, sister-in-law Clair Stephens, daughter-in-law Sonja Portier, Grandchildren Anthony Portier, Marjorie Portier, Charmagne Leggett, Victoria Portier, Olivia Bankston, and Dawn Portier as well as 9 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great-Grandchild, and a multitude of cousins and nephews. Preceded in death by her father John William Gates, mother Lena Prine Gates, siblings Charles Herman Gates and Alice Mildred Brown, and sons Emile John Portier and Alvin William Portier. Visitation will take place Wednesday July 12, 2023 at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs from 12 PM – 2PM with service starting at 2 PM officiated by Pastor Lynn Rodrigue and burial to follow in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery.
