Ronald “Clay” Gilliam, II

Ronald “Clay” Gilliam, II, resident of Central, Louisiana, born November 16, 1991, passed away on July 24, 2023, at age 31. After graduating from Central High School in 2010, he became a skilled mechanic and welder. Clay was a jack of all trades and an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, never met a stranger, and had the best sense of humor. He was most proud to be “Uncle Clay” to his niece and nephews.

 

He is survived by his loving parents, Ronald and Christine (Dabadie) Gilliam; favorite sister, Lauren Holland; brother-in-law, Steven Holland; nephews, Rivers and Ledger Holland; niece, Emery Holland; grandmother, Jean Gilliam; aunts and uncles, Deborah Dabadie; Greg and Sylvia Smith; Bo Gilliam; Keith Gilliam; Marsha Dufour; Ronnie and Suzie Woodward; Richard Woodward; Steve and Kathy Gill; and numerous cousins.

 

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Louis and Genevieve Dabadie; Mary Gilliam; Edward Gilliam; cousin, Jonathan Gilliam; and dogs, Tank and Roxie.

 

Visitation will be held at Journey Church, 17407 Greenwell Springs Road, Greenwell Springs, Louisiana, on Saturday, July 29, 2023, from 10 a.m. until the service at 12 p.m. lnterment will be held at a later date.

 

The family appreciates all of the thoughts and prayers during this time. Clay was a bright light to all who knew him and will be deeply missed.
