Glenn Paul Lumpkin, 89, was a graduate of Redemptorist High School in New Orleans, LA. He passed away on August 1, 2023, in the VA War Veterans Home, Jackson, LA. Visitation will be held at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church located at 14040 Greenwell Springs Rd., Greenwell Springs, LA 70739, from 9:30 to 11 am on Saturday, August 19, 2023, immediately followed by the funeral Mass. A military honors burial will be held at 10 am on Monday, August 21, at the Louisiana National Cemetery Complex located at 303 West Mount Pleasant Rd. in Zachary, LA 70791. Glenn served in the Korean War as a cryptographer for the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in May 1957. As a citizen, Glenn wore many hats: postal carrier, salesman, draftsman, bus driver, business owner, and coach. He always put God and his family before himself. He was preceded in death by his parents Sidney William Lumpkin and Florence W. Seibrandt Lumpkin, his loving wife, Lesta Ann Lumpkin, his brother Ronald Lewis Lumpkin, his sister Carole Catherine Lumpkin, and his son, David Glenn Lumpkin. He is survived by his sons: Daniel Noel Lumpkin, Glenn Paul Lumpkin, Jr., and Steven Joseph Lumpkin, and grandchildren: Nicole Christine Lumpkin, Joshua Daniel Lumpkin, Treasure Madison Lumpkin, Bradley Thomas Lumpkin, Matthew Vaughn Lumpkin, Elizabeth Riley Lumpkin, Olivia Catherine Lumpkin, Alexandra Newman Lumpkin, Lakelyn Ann Lumpkin, Madison Brooke Lumpkin.
