Tommy A Sawaya

Thomas “Tommy” Aquinas Sawaya passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by his family on August 18, 2023, at the age of 78. He resided in Pride, Louisiana with his wife, Beverly Feduccia Sawaya, for 52 years. He is survived by his wife; children Toby (Ashley), Rachel, Bradley, and Valarie (Kirk); grandchildren Sarah, Ryan, Madison, Andrew, and Alex; brother Phil (Nancy), and sister Lynn (Steve). He is proceeded in death by his first grandson Andrew Thomas, and his parents Philip and Lulu Sawaya. He was a proud employee for Exxon Mobil where he worked for 33 years. Once he retired, he enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling, watching sports, and doing anything for his grandchildren. As a husband and father, he was known for being a protector, doctor, mechanic, chauffeur, and your go-to guy. He was not always the best chauffeur and ran a stop sign or two. He was an avid SAINTS Fan and enjoyed watching the SAINTS win the Superbowl. After many decades he finally caught the big one, an bass that “was not left with the man on the pier.”
Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Services, 1720 S Range Ave, Denham Springs on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 5:00PM until 8:00PM, with a rosary prayer at 7:00PM. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church. 14040 Greenwell Springs Rd, Greenwell Springs from 10:30AM until the time of the funeral services at noon. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Memorial Park, Denham Springs.
Thank you for loving us enough to hold us close when we needed you most, and for loving us enough to let us go out on our own. We are who we are because of all you’ve done and been for us. We will always be grateful and we always, always love you.
