Eric Thomas Jarreau, Sr.

Eric Thomas Jarreau, Sr, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, La, went home to be with his Lord, Thursday, September 7, 2023, at the age of 78. He served his country in the U.S Navy and was a Vietnam combat vet. After years of service with the EBRP Sheriff’s Office, he retired as a Lieutenant. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sheila Manda Jarreau and his son, Eric T. (Tommy) Jarreau, Jr. (Amy) and his granddaughters Madalynn Price (Nicholas) and Olivia Jarreau, He is also survived by his brother, Cecil(Sonny) Jarreau, Jr. (Judy) and his sisters Lorraine J. Wax (Rudy-deceased) and Deborah J. Halley (Ed) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Devin Christopher Jarreau and his parents, Cecil J. Sr. and Lucy B. Jarreau. Visitation will take place on Monday, September 25, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. till 11:00 a.m. at St Jean Vianney Catholic Church , 16166 S Harrell’s Ferry Rd, BR, LA 70816, A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. for Eric and his son, Devin, celebrated by Father Eric Gyan. A very special thank you to Eric’s niece, Sister Mary Clare and to Father Eric Gyan for their spiritu- al guidance and prayers during this time. A light lunch/reception will follow at the home of Eric Jr. and Amy Jarreau. A private burial at Rose-lawn Memorial Park for Eric, Sr. and his son Devin, will be held at a later date.
