Harold “Hal” Mapes, Jr., 54, of Walker, Louisiana, passed on September 16, 2023, at his home with his loving wife by his side. A resident of Walker, Louisiana, Harold was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on January 13, 1969. Harold was a black belt in karate and a licensed plumber. He was also an active member of the Cajun Guard for which he earned the Gold President’s Volunteer Service Award. He will be remembered for his love of his family, serving the community, martial arts, music, art and gardening. He was an exceedingly kind and humble man who never met a stranger and would do anything in his power to help someone in need.

and Winston and Sarah Mapes; step father, Lou Bernard and father, Harold Mapes Sr. Harold is survived by his wife of 28 years, Carrie Mapes; daughter, Reanna Bernard; granddaughter Cymbelina Mapes; mother, Theresa Bernard; sisters Aliene (Kenny) Griffin and Melisha Bernard; bothers Ryan Mapes and Brett Bernard.
