Kathleen Samek

Kathleen Samek, age 75 of Denham Springs, LA, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023 at Golden Age Nursing Home in Denham Springs, LA.

A private graveside service will be held at Oakland Cemetery in Waukon.

Kathleen was a devoted wife, mother, sister and aunt. She was a very attentive woman that took note of everything, but most importantly, had a heart of gold.

She is survived by her son, Jered Samek and his wife Christy; her grandchildren, Joshua Samek, Shana Samek Oritz and her husband Alex; her great grandchildren, Jameson and Charleigh Ortiz. Siblings are as follows; Edward Roehrick (wife Kathy), Joyce Wendel (husband Darwin), Jeanette Carpenter (husband Francis), Helen Cashin, Steve “Red” Roehrick (wife Dawn), Connie Degrood (husband Joe), and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Lee Samek, parents Edwin and Agnes Roehrick, her sister Mary Roehrick, brother Jim Roehrick and her brother-in-law Steve Cashin.
