Robert Marshall Corbin
February 11, 1950 – October 8, 2023
“Lord for your faithful people, life has changed not ended.”
A retired employee of the City of Baton Rouge Police Force and a native of Hammond, La and a resident of the City of Central, he passed away at the Lady of the Lake Pinnacle Hospice at 3:05 am. Sunday morning, October 8, 2023.
He was born on February 11, 1950, in New Orleans, LA. Robert was so proud of his family and enjoyed spending his time with his family, especially his grandchildren’s sports activities. He was a Mason of the 32nd degree, member of the Fraternal Order of Police and a member of the Denham Springs Photography Club. His hobbies were photography, gardening, sports, beach, and traveling the country. He studied at Southeastern University, in Hammond where he met his wife of 52 years, Gail A, Corbin. He is also survived by his daughter, Cherie Jenkins (Reggie) and his son Robert M. Corbin II (Casey Pepper) grandchildren, Trevor, Gillian and Abigail Jenkins, Dylan and Peyton Corbin, and Alex Borg. He was preceded in death by his parents. Dr. Robert Adwood Corbin III, and Jessie Brumfield Corbin Giere, and a brother Robert Adwood Corbin IV and stepfather The Very Reverend Howard S Giere.
Pall Bearers are Reggie D. Jenkins II, Trevor Jenkins, Dylan Corbin, Paul Lawrence, Thomas W. Annison, Charles E. Shaffer Jr., Justin Baker, Lance Baker, Vincent Logiudice and Dominic Logiudice. Honorary pallbearers are Josh LeJeune, Charles Stephens, Jack Mount, Norman Strickland and Adin Putnam.
Visitation will be at 9:00 am on Wednesday October 11th, 2023, at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 726 Maple Street Denham Springs, LA. Services will be conducted by the The Very Reverend Maggie Sullivan at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at
