Carol Joy Middleton Waldrop

Carol Joy Middleton Waldrop passed away on November 3, 2023 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, La. at the age of 83. She was born September 17, 1940 in Baton Rouge ,La. She was a resident of the Pine Grove Community for most of her life. She worked for the state of Louisiana and retired from Greenwell Springs Hospital in 1999. She worked as a Mental Health Counselor.

Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on Wednesday, November 8th from 10:00am-11:00am. Service will be at 11:00am at Seale Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the church cemetery at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Pine Grove, La.

Carol Joy is survived by her 3 children, Rhonda Waldrop Stennett, John Mark Waldrop, Cathy Waldrop Williams and her spouse Ivy. She had 6 grandchildren, Lanie Waldrop Gueho, Samantha Waldrop Flitter, Brandon Stennett, Kevin Stennett, John Austin Williams and Jenice Bentley. She had 4 great grandchildren, Aiden Gueho, Cohen Gueho, Rowen Flitter and Lily Stennett. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years John Waldrop, her parents John Stewart Middleton and Maude Green Middleton and a brother, Donald Clark Middleton. She is also survived by her second husband, Omer Clark of Denham Springs.

Carol Joy had a sweet spirit and loved her family very much. She loved to antique shop, garden, and to play the piano for her church. Many came to her for advice and guidance during her life. She was a loving and compassionate wife, mother and friend. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
