Gary Kermit Bankston, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, peacefully passed away on October 25, 2023, at the age of 75. Gary was born on May 8, 1948, in New Orleans to Warren and Mary Louisa Bankston. He grew up in the Lakeview area, attended Warren Easton High School, and went on to achieve remarkable accomplishments and lead a life filled with passion and dedication. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Harrell Bankston, his children Jason, Travis, and Jared, sister, Peggy Steele, as well as ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. His is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Bettye Heidingsfelder. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. A memorial service to celebrate Gary’s life will be held on November 5, 2023, at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs, LA. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm followed by a service at 3:00 pm. Friends and family are invited to attend.
