George Leteff

George Leteff, 89, was a 50 year resident of Baton Rouge, LA who passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center as a result of natural causes. He was born July 13, 1934 in New Orleans, LA to Mabel and George Leteff. He had two sisters, Shirley O’Neil and Florence Russ who preceded him in death.

Mr. Leteff was a member of the Seabees and had a career with Cummins Diesel in various capacities- his final being Brand Manager.

He was married to Billie Leteff (Nee Culpepper) and had two married daughters, Robyn Tonkyro (husband Tom) and Risa Lanier (husband Jay). He was also survived by his brother-in-law, Robert Culpepper; nephews, Donnie Ross and Mike O’Neil, as well as many other loving relatives and friends.

Mr. Leteff was a member of St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church and volunteered with St. Vincent De Paul food bank. He liked Bible Study, listening to old country and cajun music, cutting down trees, and visiting with family and friends. He never met a stranger, was very giving, and loved to tease and play jokes. He was loved by all.
