Elizabeth Dawn “Lou” Carroll

January 28, 1981 – November 20, 2023

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt and friend went to her eternal home on Monday, November 20, 2023. She was 42 years old. Lou enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her loving husband of 1 ½ years, Robert Lee Carroll, Jr. ; two sons, James Long, A.J. Carroll; four daughters, Haley Thomas and husband Austin, Anna Long and Nick, Bailey Carroll, Alexis Averett and husband Matt; father, Huey P. Schafer; brother, Jason Schafer; four grandchildren and a host of loving family members. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation will be held at Christ Community Church, on Saturday, November 25, 2023 from 11am until Celebration of Life Service at 1pm, conducted by Rev. Willis Easley. She was preceded in death by her mother, Melanie Holden and her maternal grandmother, Mary Holden. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Christ Community Church.
