Richard Allyn Bigelow

Richard Allyn Bigelow, 76, of Denham Springs, LA, passed away Friday, November 24, 2023. Richard served his country faithfully in the United States Air Force for 21 years before retiring. He then worked for 20+ years as an Air Traffic Controller for the . before retiring from there. He enjoyed body building, playing tennis, archery and anything being active, but his true joy was being with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Xiujie Wang Bigelow; children Yoko Weber, Alan Bigelow, and Jason Zhou and wife, Shirley Lu; grandchildren, Beau and Victoria Weber and their father, Sonny Weber; sister, Kathy Cheney; as well as many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Eleanor Bigelow. A visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Tuesday, November 28, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. A graveside service will be held at a Louisiana National Cemetery, Friday, December 8, at 1 p.m. with Naval Funeral Honors.
