Ronald H. “Ron” Kendrick of Walker, Louisiana died on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at the age of 82. He was born January 15, 1941, in Henderson, Texas to Carrol and Katherine Houston Kendrick. He grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and later graduated from Istrouma High School in 1959. He went on to attend Louisiana Tech University for two years before beginning his career as an instrument technician at Ethyl Corporation Baton Rouge Plant where he worked until retirement. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles “Chuck” Kendrick; son, Dane Kendrick; and stepdaughter, K. “Reyné” LeJeune Landry. Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Betty Ann Pourciau Kendrick; his daughter, Danette “Dee-Dee” Kendrick Gautreau (Donnie); his sons, Troy Kendrick (Becky) and Carroll Kendrick; his stepdaughter, Terry “Tee Tee” LeJeune Sandifer; his stepsons, Jamie LeJeune and Jeffrey “Boo Boo” LeJeune; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and extended family members. He will be remembered mostly for his love of LSU, music, laughter, and dancing.
The family invites friends and extended family to a Memorial Service on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Seale Funeral Home, 1720 South Range Ave. in Denham Springs with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Burial of his remains will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a cancer organization or charity of your choice.
