Brent James Fitch
Brent James Fitch was born August 31st 1965 to Patrick Fitch and Gracy Fitch Patureau. He was a proud Louisiana native who enjoyed his rich, Cajun French heritage and culture. He was born in New Orleans, La where he was raised with his brother Kenneth Fitch and his sister Amelia Fitch Chauvin. He always told colorful stories of years on their family farm and fishing on the Atchafalaya. But he was truly passionate about creativity, innovation, and learning. He took his technological knowledge and joined the army where he served in the Army Corp of Engineers and finished his enlistment as a corporal. He met his wife and best friend, Glenda Cooper Fitch, in Newnan, Ga in 1987, married December 24th, 1989. Together they had one daughter, Anna Fitch Harrison. Brent dedicated his life to working tirelessly to provide for his family. He was a proud employee of the Louisiana Retirement System where he worked as a systems administrator for over fifteen years. He put his soul into his work, and enjoyed the challenges it brought him. Although his work was important to him, he never lost sight of his why. To give fully and generously to his family. He ensured that his family always felt safe and all needs were met. Brent passed December 21st, 2023 at 58. He is preceded in death by his father Patrick Fitch. He is survived by his mother Gracy Fitch Patureau, wife Glenda Cooper Fitch, brother Kenneth Fitch, sister Amelia Fitch Chauvin, daughter Anna Fitch Harrison, and son-in-law Joel Harrison. Celebration of Life will be held at Seales Funeral Home, Denham Springs, Friday, February 2nd, from 6pm to 8pm.
