Ruth Ann Baker Jordan

Ruth A. Jordan, 85, born Ruth Ann Baker, in Osgood, Indiana on November 14, 1938, passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. She was a loving wife of almost 50 years and a mother of two children and two stepchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Mildred Mizner Baker; daughters, Donna and Debbie; four brothers and a sister. Ruth was a homemaker, retired from Hewitt Packard in Boise, ID and became a hairdresser that specialized in African American hairstyles. Ruth is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Jordan; and two stepchildren, Dorothy McClendon and David Jordan; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Ruth never met a person she was afraid to talk to and make her friend. Ruth was a believer and member of the Church of the Nazarene in Idaho before her illness.

Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Monday, January 8, from 10 a.m. until service at 12 p.m. with burial to follow at Louisiana National Cemetery at 2 p.m. Please share your condolences at .
