Ruth O’Neal

Ruth went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at age 81. She was a resident of Watson. Ruth worked and owned several small businesses with her husband. With the exception of a few years, they worked together in everything. She was a competitive person. She loved golf, bowling, fishing, and gardening.

Ruth is survived by her husband, John O’Neal, daughter Vicki Decker, son Craig Shaw, 4 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by daughter Karen Berthelot, step children Kathy O’Neal, Johnny O’Neal, Shelly O’Neal, Susan Bercegeay, her parents Alvis and Clyde Ford, 2 sisters, her father and mother-in-law, Ellis and Abi O’Neal.

Funeral services will be held at Seale Funeral Home on Saturday, January 6th from 1:30 PM to 3 PM with a 3 PM service. The service will be conducted by Rev. Stephen Herbert. Burial will follow in Denham Springs Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
