“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 Born July 5, 1927 in Colyell, Louisiana. He was 96 yrs. 6 mos. and 15 days and went to be with the Lord January 20, 2024 at his home in Walker. A retiree of Exxon with 39 years of service, he was an avid fisherman and a faithful servant. Visitation at Revival Temple Church in Walker on Thursday, January 25th starting at 9 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. conducted by Pastor Wes Courtney. Survived by his five children, Louis Harrell and wife Linda; Susan Watson and husband Roger; Chris Harrell, III, Joe Harrell and wife Susan and Sheri Harrell; 15 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren with one on the way, 5 great-great grandchildren with 2 on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his loving wife Ruby Lott Harrell; his parents C.C. & Simmie Harrell, brothers G.A., Alcest, Dorris and Gilbert Harrell and sister Dorothy Zeigler, granddaughter Amy Harrell, grandson Brandon Pirie, great-grandsons Tristen and Logan Harrell, Carter Watson and best friend and fishing buddy Kemp Holden, Sr. Pallbearers will be Joey, Noah, Joshua, Jacob and Nathan Harrell and Brandon Vail.
