Kim Lynette Jarrell Chance
Kim Lynette Jarrell Chance, 66, of Independence, Louisiana, loving wife
and mother, died Friday, January 19, 2024, at North Oaks Medical Center
surrounded by friends and family. Kim was born on August 27, 1957, in
Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Fletcher Jarrell; her
father, John Henry Jarrell Sr.; her sister, Melody Fletcher; and her brother,
John Jarrell Jr.
She is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Chance; her two sons,
Shawn Chance (Leisa) and Andy Chance (Liz); her three grandchildren,
Shawn Michael Chance (Erica), Adam Chance, and Alexis Chance; her two
great-grandchildren, Bella Chance and Gracie Lynn Chance; and her three
sisters, Gina O’Neill (Donnie), Jan Joubert (Donavan), and Fran Bauer (Jon).
Kim was a cherished wife and devoted mother. Her grace, warmth, and
unwavering love created a haven for her family. She will be remembered for
the joy she brought into our lives and the enduring love that will forever
reside in our hearts. She will be remembered by her captivating beauty.
Surrounded by the love of her family, Kim embarked on her final chapter, the
echoes of all the beautiful memories created and tapestry of warmth will
endure through generations. Gathered around the warmth of a flickering
fire, she found pure joy in the shared laughter of family moments. With her
husband, Kim cultivated inside jokes that echoed through the years, creating
a unique language of love that only they understood. Kim and Tony were
married for forty-eight years, but they loved and took care of each other for
their entire lives.
A funeral will not be held. Her request was for her husband to spread
her ashes in all the beautiful places they traveled to together.
Her legacy is etched in the echoes of laughter that will forever dance in
the flames of cherished memories. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
