Verna Fontenot Pitre

Verna M. Pitre born in Mamou, Louisiana passed away January 30, 2024 at the age of 93. Her hobbies were sewing, making ceramics, and gardening. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children Sharon Schmidtfranz(Grant), Joan Madison(Ward), Mona Nelson(Ronald). Her grandchildren are Tony and Mechelle Willbanks, Alaina and Heather Nelson. Her great-grandchildren Damian, Kaylin, Steven, Oliver, Brantley, and Harper as well as her great-great grandchildren Allison and Avaia. She is preceded in death by her husband Calvin Pitre, her son David Pitre as well as her parents and her siblings. Services will take place at Seale Funeral Home in Denham Springs on  Saturday February 3, 2024 with visitation from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM with service starting at 1:00 PM and burial to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
