Emmett “Bubby” H Johnson III passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at the age of 63 at North Oaks Hospital. He was a native of Kenner and longtime resident of Ponchatoula. His passion was providing for his family and spending time with his children and grandchildren as often as possible. He was proceeded in death by his stepfather, Lenny Thomas, Sr. ‘Pops’, and his oldest daughter, Bridgit Fabre.
Emmett is survived by his beloved wife Cathy, his daughter Allyss Poucher (Scot), his son Emmett Johnson IV (Kayla); grandchildren, Mackenzie Fabre, Katie Birgler, Christian Joiner, Norah Poucher, Elin Poucher, and Emmett Johnson V, his mother Anna Totora Thomas, sister Geralyn Mariana, brothers Ricky Johnson Sr. and Lenny Thomas, Jr. and his god-children, Melissa Murry and Gerard Spina who he loved dearly.

Private services will be held.

    Every Christmas growing up we went to Uncle Bubbys and Aunt Cathy’s to draw names to get the adults a gift and every year I drew his name and got him the old spice cologne he asked for. He surely will be missed! Love y’all.

    he was the most hardworking man i know. he loved us day in and day out. no matter what our problem was, he was there to help. he was the best father i could ever ask for and am forever grateful for everything he ever did with and for us. he will forever be in our hearts and will be missed dearly. we love you dad, love your kids.
